Windows Data Recovery After Format
Does formatting the Windows partition of a hard drive…?
wipe all traceable data off? Such as when I do a system recovery. It formats the C: drive and copies from the D: recovery drive all of the pre-installed files.
It makes me curious as to if any files, programs, URL’s from web pages visited, bank account/credit card numbers, etc. can be retrieved after a reformat and defrag?
hi ananamou, when you format there is two ways you can do this that is one you can delete the petition or format it but both outcomes the same when you format you are removing everything from off of your hard drive. the benefits of doing this is that viruses or an error that has corrupted your system. but as i read your question i have one for you now knowing computers like i do and reading as much as i have why would anyone want to put there finacial information where any hacker can get it from you and laugh as they are spending your money. you made their day when you place your finacial information on your computer where anyone can get to it even if they can break into your machine. keep your bank statement with you att all times and use the internet to search the world wide web and games and and a information center but do your banking with your bank. good luck hope i was helpful to you
