Quick Format Data Recovery
Rescue an extended partition from a formatted hard drive?
I attempted to restore a laptop using the manufacturer’s system resore CD. I had two partitions, C and D, being the most important data in D. I was expecting the recovery CD would respect my partitions, but it did not. So I ended with a (quick ) formatted hard disk with one big partition. Is there a way to find the D partition and birng it back to life fully?
Yes there is a way to recover your data!
When you delete data from your computer, the data still remains on the harddrive intill windows needs to use that space where your data is.
Example: When you emtpy data from your recycle bin the data is not deleted but marked as available space for the future.
When your recovery discs created one big partition it erased the “D” partition (a little area of the disc that creates the file structure) but it probley left most of your data there.
To recover the data you need a third party application that will scan the entire harddrive and remap all your data.
