File recovery need help?
Well I have a memory card(2GB micro sd) for my phone(a samsung corby). I wanted to sell the phone so I deleted my files from the phone and accidentaly deleted my memory card’s pics too. I’ve tried recovering them with various tools including recuva, undelete plus, pc inspector file recovery, and restoration. No luck, the all ‘see’ the photo’s but when I try to recover no luck. In recuva it just gets stuck when I click recover, and one of the other programs(can’t remember which one) sees the files too but says beside each one ‘error cannot recover, data has been overwriten’. Any help, what can I try next?

No I try recovering from the memory card to the hard drive
One option is Testdisk. It’s a free DOS based program that I have used in successfully recovering files. It’s free, and did the job better in comparison to Recuva.
The other option is Ubuntu Live CD. It’s an OS that can run stand-alone from the CD, and can allow you to browse your drives. However, this helps mainly with PCs/laptops that can’t boot properly.
