Hdd Data Recovery Cost

How much should I charge for this?

I performed the following work on someone’s computer:
-Data recovery from a damaged HDD (3 hours of actual work)
-Installation of new hard drive and RAM (exclude the cost of parts)
-System recovery, optimization, and installation of a couple programs

How much should I charge for this work? $50? $100? $200? I don’t want to overcharge but I also don’t want to charge too little. Thanks.
This was a damaged HDD, as in, it refused to boot up, files were inaccessible, whole thing locked up my test machine, and it took me 3 hours of work just to get it running. (Did chkdsk, freezer trick, etc.) The actual recovery took a couple hours but since I just ran robocopy at that point, I won’t charge labor for it just sitting there.

I suppose $75-100 seems reasonable. I know Best Buy would charge $400 for this but that’s just ridiculous.

My tech guy just replaced the hard drive (87.00 for a 1T) and reinstalled windows, put in avg and updated, defragged, made sure the internet worked etc. I gave him 220.00 and that included the 87.00. He generally charges 25.00 per hour. I will install my pinnacle software, printer, and other various programs that I like. I guess I should say that my tech guy is also my friend but I wouldn’t want to take advantage of him. I’d charge at least 100.00. Will you deliver and set up?
