Vista on my Vaio?
I shut down my computer one day, and the next day I started it up, it wouldn’t. It turns on and says that files are misplaced or corrupted, and then starts it in safe mode. It takes me to a screen for tools to repair. I’ve tried system recovery, but there was no date set. I’ve checked if there’s a hardware problem, but there isn’t. I’ve tried to upload on to an external hard drive, and then I tried to format the C:Drive. I dont care if I lose my data, but it comes up with an error. Something about the C:Drive partition. I literally can’t do anything to get out of this and back into Vista. Any help/suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
Go to http://www.microsoft.com and enter the *exact* error message in the search. You can also do a general web search on the error message.
You may find more than one possible solution. I recommend starting with the least radical and working your way up from there until something works.
