Free Hard Drive Data Recovery Software Download
hard drive formatted and lost data. is there any recovery software free online that i can download ?
Don’t feel too bad, I recently did this myself. I used a program called Recuva, the only problem with recovering data after a format is that you have to have the extra free space for that info to be written to, it can’t just be copied over the top of where it used to be. You have to have however much free space, on a different physical drive, as the amount of data you want to recover, but it can be done for free. I spent close to a week recovering my data, several hundred GBs, it didn’t come back exactly how I had it on my drive, lots of odd named folders and there were multiples of each file, the ones that had the names I gave them didn’t work, but I later found the duplicates that all had generated names were all my files in tact. So it is a huge pain in the ass to do, but it can be done, for free too. Good luck.
