Which linux file system is best for fast file recovery and which one is best for data integrity?
XFS is supposed to have a very fast file system checking ability. I don’t know this first hand, I do run XFS on a production server, but I have yet to run fsck on it though. Any of the in production journaling file systems provided very good data integrity. These include Ext3, XFS, JFS, and Reiserfs.
