Solving Outlook PST Problems
If you use Microsoft Outlook and you have been faced with an Outlook .pst file error you know what a pain it is to deal with. The only bad part is that Outlook stores all your important data – contacts, emails, calendar entries, and more – in a single pst file .pst file. While many people aren’t aware of this fact, if your pst file becomes corrupted or damaged in any way it can definitely cause a huge headache.
The good thing is that it’s possible to repair your .pst and fix your data. First, try to run scanpst.exe, also called the Inbox Repair Tool. There are so many reasons behind the mysterious corruption of a file. Sometimes it’s because the file has exceeded 2gb, which is the limit for sub 64 bit programs and operating systems. Windows doesn’t like this and will often have a meltdown. Another way that files can become corrupt is if the computer is improperly shut down or if the compaction process in Outlook is interrupted.
The good news is that not all is lost. Thankfully there are quite a few ways to solve such problems. There are some very robust software applications particularly designed to repair pst file and folders.
Trying Bigger And Better Software
If scanpst.exe doesn’t work then you might have to try more robust software tools. One great program is called Stellar Outlook PST Repair, and it’s an excellent tool that is easy for most people to use thanks to its similarity to the Outlook program itself.
