HELP!!! How do I retrieve deleted text messages from my cellphone?
I deleted something really important from my inbox and I need to get it back. So what is an easy and fast way to get it without it costing money. I already tried downloading data recovery software but every time I connect my phone through the USB with my cable it says that no sim card was found. Please help.
You can contact your service provider, all text messages are archived by your service provider. I’m not sure how long they are saved. There have been legal documents showing text messages archived after four months. I have seem claims some service providers archive past three years. That would be where I’d turn if it’s important. I don’t know if there’s a fee, or how long it would take to turn around a request.
As far as archiving it off your phone, if it’s been a while, I wouldn’t have much hope. Your phone probably uses flash memory to store data. Files are only ‘easily’ recoverable until written over. I had a 1gb camera card that for some reason my camera erased everything. I took one picture after that, and it corrupted everything beyond a recoverable point, except for two images, and only one was full. If you’ve been messaging on the phone since then, the file has probably been written over by now.
