Data Recovery X64
Problems Shrinking my Drive?
Laptop: HP HDX16
HDD: FUJITSU MHZ2320BH G2 ATA 297 GB in Total (Counting System and Factory Recovery Partitions)
Recovery Partition: 1.42 GB Free of 12 GB
System Partition: 222 GB Free of 285 GB
RAM: 4 GB
Virtual Ram: Disabled
OS: Vista Home Premium x64
CPU: Dual Core P7450 @ 2.13GHz
Hibernation: Disabled
System Restore: Disabled
pagefile.sys: Can’t be found
Snapshots: I don’t even know what it is
I can only shrink 319MB from my HDD
I checked with PerfectDisk and it says that there’s a block of Excluded Data Block and a Metadata Block near the end of the drive
If you can’t really see the image then enlarge it by clicking on all sizes
Can somebody tell me how to get more room for shrinking without a 3rd party software or at least tell me how to move the blocks of data?
I also defragged a lot of times
You’ve gotta defrag first, but if you’re using Vista’s partitioner, that thing is notoriously crap. I usually use Easeus partition manager, which I believe is free.
