Data Recovery Thumb Drive

can you download recovery data onto a thumb drive instead of using a CD?

I have a Sony Vaio (which I love) but I recently crashed it and the recovery partition isn’t working for me – I don’t have any hardware issues – but need a recovery cd but don’t want to wait for a new one in the mail.

Is it possible to download the recovery data onto a thumb drive online and then boot and recover that way rather than ordering the CD?

I can tinker with the boot options and put the optical drive and external drive as the first boot options followed by internal drive and switch it later.

Anybody?

Yeah, you can boot up Windows with Tenorshare Data Recovery WinPE.It allows users to burn ISO file to CD/DVD/USB Flash Drive and boot up operating system from bootable CD/DVD/USB Flash Drive directly. If you have no backups for all your data, you can use it to retrieve data under any boot up problem.Get it from http://www.any-data-recovery.com/product/datarecoverywinpe.htm Then if you have a backup for your Windows then perform a system restore to fix it.If not, reinstall it.
