Data Recovery Software Macbook
Macbook Air, display failure or hard drive failure?
This isn’t the most recent Air; I got it secondhand, so it’s a few years old. When I turn it on, the screen lights up, but is all stretched-looking, irregular vertical lines. Does this sound like a problem with the display software, or is it a hard drive problem? Obviously I’m hoping for the latter, so I won’t have to invest in data recovery.
Wish I could provide more specs, but I bought another Macbook, and thus haven’t used the Air in about six months. Can’t remember which OS. 10.5.?
If a Harddrive is bad it will show errors when you boot, if your screen looks distorted it is most likley the lcd or cable attached to it. Honestly no worth repairing unless you find a mom and pop shop to fix it. The screen itself can be anywhere from 200-500 bux
