Is Windows XP OS recovery possible from another computer?
I have a PC that is giving me an error at start-up. I cannot load the Windows Disc to Run a Repair installation. However I CAN and did access the hard drive via a Linux Live CD, which I used to backup important data. I can view all the contents of the hard drive, is there anything that I can do to repair system files from here?
Normally I would just a clean install of the OS, but I cannot risk losing all the important (and expensive) software that has been added to the computer. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
It looks that your Windows disk has some fault so that you are unable to boot from it where as you can access the hard drive via a Linux Live CD so that try to boot your system via another windows cd.
