Data Recovery Shareware Free

There a good shareware data recovery program?

I recently got a new computer (dell), and after transfering all my data and deleting it from the old computer, the hard drive died and with it all my music, photos, etc. I want to try to get any files possible from my old computer, and want to find a good program for free or cheap that will let me try.
