Trouble booting Vista from Recovery Disc?

I ran into a big problem and was planning on using a Recovery Disc to load drivers and the repair OS, but I’m afraid I’ll lose all my old data. II’m booting from a usb stick but an error occurs during installation: Cannot open the required file E:SourcesInstall.wim

What now?
Now why didn’t I think of that? Any idea where I can find that file?

Try getting a replacement of that file?
