Data Recovery Ntfs Raid

Data Recovery Help Needed?

Okay first off, I am rather computer savy but I am having quite a hard time recovering some data for a friend. To summarize, he had a failing Raid 0 so he decided to back up his information to his 200G SCSI drive. After squeezing as much information as possible onto his drive (had about 10MB remaining) he tried to install the hard drive onto his new machine only to find out that the drive has somehow converted itself to a FAT16 drive (It was previously NTFS 4.0). Now I am aware that you can convert FAT file systems to NTFS through command prompt however whenever we try to convert it, it says that there is not enough space for the conversion. In addition, My Computer sees the drive, but it only see 10MB of the drive (Disk Manager sees 189GB FAT16). I have tried to recover the drive numerous times and have been unsuccessful. Anyone have any new ideas?

backup your data and upgrade your drives. too old! external drives are at low cost now.
