Data Recovery Ntfs Mac

How can I recover data from a formatted NTFS hard disk partition?

I have an Apple Macbook 5,2. I had Mac OS X Leopard with Windows 7 installed with bootcamp. Windows 7 was on a 130 GB NTFS partition. I accidentally formatted my Win 7 partition while trying to install Linux along with two OSes. Now I have installed Snow Leopard in place of Leopard and reinstalled Windows 7 on that partition. I am trying to recover the data that resided in Win 7 partition earlier. Help me! I have tried using Data Rescue 3 in Mac and many other recovery tools under Windows but in vain. Please help! All my work is lost.

There is no real way to recover it. There is a possibility to recover things when they are deleted, but only if you don’t write something new to partition and not overwrite sectors where deleted data used to be.
But since you formated you drive, not just deleted data from it, there is no way to recover anything.
Sorry for your loss,
for future, always make backup. i use carbonite network backup tool and have no worries for my 500+Gb of data getting lost, deleted or corrupt.
