Data Recovery Gdb
If I am writing lots of Data on one partition will it affect another?
I have a partition 97 GB which the boot record has been corrupted on. I have 50+ GB of unallocated space and another 10 GB Partition. Can I safely use data recovery software on one partition to transfer the files from one partition to another? Both would be with Win XP Pro of course. The program I intend to use is here http://www.runtime.org/gdb.htm its own documentation states that I should use 2 HDDs but wouldnt 2 partitions work the same way? I have E-mailed them and didnt recive much help. Im sure you guys can do much better.
i dun think it will be that good cos according to standard data transfer procedures for corrupted disk, it will be safer to transafer via using 2hdd instead of partition method.u see if u do it safely, u get to keep yr data n yr hard disk , if not u run a chance of losing both.for me, i partition so i b4 format , i transfer to the next partation or copy them else cds , maybe portable hd borrowedfrom frenz blah blah..
