Is there anywhere i can find detailed instructions regarding slave drives?
I recently have experienced a crash of my computers bootup. said waiting for pbr descriptor…done.
then nothing happened. i tried to use a recovery disk but it made things worse. I know how to reset the computer back to day 1 condition but i cant lose my data and documents. I have heard of using a slave drive type process but i am not an absolute genious computer expert. I am not new to computers, dont get me wrong, but i need help on this one. I have a working computer similar to the nonworking one. It is imparitive that i get those documents…can anyone help?!
Look here…..http://www.pcmech.com/show/harddrive/43/ You can also get a drive enclosure and connect the drive to the other pc via the usb port. Much easier.
