Data Recovery Download Full
Backing up files?
What is the easiest and quickest way to back up all my photo files I have downloaded on windows. I need to do a full recovery on my laptop to get rid of a virus and will lose all saved data.
You could go the external hard drive route, but if you don’t want to buy an external hard drive, you can just burn all photos to CDs or DVDs using Roxio EasyCD Creator or Nero Express. If you don’t know how to do it with that, or if you don’t know precisely where all your pictures are, I suggest you download Google’s completely free photo organization program called Picasa; it’s available here:

It has a backup feature built in that is extremely easy to use; just install it, run a full scan of your hard drive for pictures, and when it’s done (it’ll take a while; longer depending on the number of pictures you have) click the Tools menu and choose “Backup Pictures”. In step 2 at the bottom of the screen (don’t worry about step 1) choose Select All and click Burn. There you go! Good luck, and Merry Christmas!
