Data Recovery Ddrescue
new to linux, need help?
I’m working on downloading ddrescue for data recovery, but I don’t have a clue about linux. once I download it I can figure it out with online tutorials.
This is the link I want to use:
http://gnu.mirrors.pair.com/gnu/ddrescue/
Question, with this link, do I have to click on and download each file or is it like a winrar where you click on one and the rest follow?
next question, .tar I’m assuming is the linux version of a .zip or .rar file. How do I unpack these?
Try using the Ubuntu Remix called BootMed live cd. It comes with ddrescue installed and has a tutorial for newbies about how to use it, and how to mount the image you make in Windows.
