Data Recovery Companies In Usa
Need help with Hard Drive recovery please!?
well woke up this morning and turned on my laptop, just to find out the HD is doing this clicking sound. Then it tells me, it can not find the operating system. So i took it to compusa and bestbuy and both of them referred me to the big companies. like, DriveSavers. and when i called and explained to them, they told me it’ll cost u about $2500 or more!!! i only got my music library and some old pics that i really need. oh and its a 80 gig HD. So my question is … is there any way i can recover the data i need by myself or not? and if not what other options and “big companies” that can recover it for me are there?(that can be cheaper… if possible?!?)

As strange as this may sound I had siumilar problems with one of my drives in a laptop and desktop machine, here is what I did on researching a few forums & asking Q’s even downloading items of info postd on the torrent sites.
I removed the HDDs, put them in my “deep-freezer” for 48hrs, went out bought replacements, reconnected old & new in a master slave setup SHOCK & HORROR I managed to get my old data moved over onto the new drives before they fell over again..I learnt to make better use of my dvd writers & cdrom to BACKUP that way rather than rely on old faithfull HDDS, but I have invested in a few standalone external drives to store all my tunes & movies that way the other drives dont get overworked *grin*
