Suggestions for a Reasonably Priced Cell Phone Data Recovery Service?
I understand there are quite a few data recovery services out there that extract lost files from damaged cell phones (broken, cracked, dropped, immersed in coffee . . . ad nauseam! hehe). Many such services charge as much as one might pay for a hard drive crash ($-ouch!-$). However, if a phone powers up or has intact memory (e.g., SIM card, memory card, even internal phone memory), then shouldn’t info be retrievable with minimal fuss? In my case, I’m interested not in address book recovery or SMS text message retrieval (common purviews and specializations of forensics-oriented labs), but simply getting back video and photos only. Any suggestions on a good and reasonably priced service that can do it all? (I am not interested in recovery software, BTW.) The phone in question is a Nokia.
Three-hundred dollars—whether Australian or U.S. dollars—seems a lot. I think I’d glimpsed a price of $99 somewhere, but maybe this involves a phone with very minimal damage. . . .
