Data Recovery Boot Cd Windows Xp Download
Can someone help me recover my Windows XP?
I installed a 30 day trial version of Windows XP service pack 1 and updated it to service pack 2 by downloading the service pack and running it. Now my computer won’t boot. Not in safe mode. Not in any mode. I tried last know good configuration….I tried everything. Then in the end I tried to do a “windows recovery” using the same cd I did the installation with and I get a blue screen error.
I have some data on the C drive so I don’t want to format / re-install Windows and loose my data. Should I run a built in service pack 2 Windows XP cd and see if I can recover? What should I do? 10 points for the answer that works. Don’t bother answering if you don’t know what to do.
I don’t have a service pack 2 cd. I’ll have to buy it if there is no other way of recovering data
First, why would you download Trial version if you have a XP Service Pack 2 Disc. Try the disc of Service Pack 2 and depending you may need the key code, and read when you use it so it will give you the option to save or archive any data you want to save. Remember You will normally still loose some data.
You may have to go out and purchase a clean complete copy of XP from a computer store, if you didn’t buy the one you have. That also may be the reason you are having problems.
You could also upgrade to Vista, by buying it. Remember they have Now incorperated Web Key’s to Unlock there software because they were loosingMillions on Pirated Software. A Clean Copy will not have all the Junk on it that eat up your space like the computer Manufactures put on your machine.
