Be careful when dealing with cheaper data recovery ‘labs’. Most of those places will do far more harm than good. That said there are three major data recovery labs in the US and they are Drivesavers, Gillware and OnTrack. If someone else has mucked with the drive before they receive it, it will cost twice as much — if they can recover anything. These labs will evaluate the drive for free before beginning any work. Of the three listed Gillware is known to be the best priced.
