How to convert RAW to NTFS without loosing data?
Hi,
I have 400GB external HDD connected to PC via USB bay (works as external HDD controller).
Has 3 equall partions of 126GB each all NTFS.
Now the problem is with the 2nd drive/part, it was working fine, and one day it stopped responding.
‘My computer’ shows the drive “k:” but goes very very slow when I click on it. Some how I could check it’s status it shows ‘RAW’.
I think it is because of some VIRUS attack.
I have Original Norton360 but not working.
I want that drive to work but DONT want to loose data.
Please help me I can not pay alot on recovery-applications.

I have used a program called “get data back” successfully to retrieve data off failed drives. (you’ll need another drive to move all the data to )

You’ll want “GetDataBack for NTFS”
I would NOT alter the failed drives formatting at all……(until the data is already retrieved & backed up onto another drive)
I also don’t find Norton antivirus products to be much good…They tend to slow down your computer as much as a virus does….
There are much cheaper & more efficient AntiVirus products on the market…(Such as AVG free edition – www.free.grisoft.com)
