Data Recovery After Reformatting
How do I access my hard drive from a broken computer?
Long story short, my laptop is dead. I have a lot of valuable pictures on its hard drive. To get to them I bought a HD enclosure. After assembling the thing I plugged it into my other laptop and it appeared to recognize it just like it recognizes my USB Travel Drive. However, when I clicked to open the drive it promted me to format the drive (which would erase all data,..) Problem: (1) I have a HD to a computer that doesn’t work. (2) Apparently for it to be read in another computer it must be formatted. (3) The whole point of buying the HD enclosure was to retrieve said files.
How can I access my drive without reformatting?????????????
Can someone PLEASE help????? I WILL pay a “recovery specialist” if needed but would rather not. Your karma will be rewarded if you can help me with this!!!
