DATA RECOVERY AFTER FORMAT.?
Hi. I need to recover my data after a format. The images were in “My Pictures” folder – i.e. in C drive. Now, since the OS had to be re-installed, could it be possible that I’ve lost some of those images? What is the best and free software for such a data recovery? I have tried some software that offer just search of the lost data but ask for registration while attempting to recover them. I require a software that would actually work and recover my lost files and would be free. Please suggest some.
If you reformatted your hard drive you will never be able to get them back.
Formatting your hard drive wipes out all data and can not be recovered. The programs your talking about only work on deleted data, when some thing gets deleted the data doesn’t go away it just tell your computer that the sectors where the data is is free to be written over. The Programs looks for the data on the open sectors and and closes them again. If sector been written on by a new file or formatting them then data is gone for good and can never be restored.
P.S. In future and some thing happens where you have to reformat your hard drive back up all your old data that you don’t want lose. Personally i use a external hard dive to save all the data that i cant or don’t want to lose. That way if i have to wipe the data on my hard drive that holds my OS the stuff i want to keep is away and safe from any harm.
