Mac laptop with a failed hard drive – won’t boot up. have removed h/drive. Got caddy enclosure to put h/drive in – If I plug the caddy into a PC will recovery work via the PC? I have data recovery sodtware on the pc – or would I have to work with a 2nd Mac to try data recovery? Any advice would be great, thanks
No answers so far are actually dealing with the question asked – about the issue of putting in the hard drive from a mac into a usb caddy then plug it into a pc to see if anything can be recovered. Will pc software trat the caddy as an external drive or will it have issues as it’s a mac.
According to my Hardware knowledge the hard disc has damaged hardy. so need to bye a new one & replace.
